Boiling point at your altitude
Water boils at about
94.8 °C
≈ 202.7 °F
Air pressure drops with altitude, so water boils at a lower temperature higher up. This is a close physical estimate for standard conditions; actual pressure and weather can shift it slightly.
About boiling point and altitude
At sea level, water boils at 100 °C (212 °F). As you climb, the surrounding air pressure falls, and water reaches its boiling point at a lower temperature, dropping by roughly 1 °C for every 285 metres (about 1 °F per 500 feet). This calculator uses the standard pressure and Clausius-Clapeyron relationship to estimate the value for any elevation.
