Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Temperature Checker mobile app (the “App”) and the website at temperaturechecker.app (the “Site”), together the “Service.” Temperature Checker is a tool for wellness awareness and personal record keeping. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.

Our privacy-first approach

• Your records stay on your device. Temperature readings, notes, profiles, and history you enter in the App are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your health data on our servers.
• No account required. You do not need to create an account or give us your name or email to use the Service.
• Website tools run in your browser. Anything you type into the free tools on the Site (log templates, the converter, the summary tool, the checklist) stays in your browser and is never sent to us.

Information we handle

Information you enter

Temperature readings, dates, times, notes, and profile labels you add are processed on your device (App) or in your browser (Site). This content is not transmitted to us.

Data you store on your device

The App keeps your records in local storage on your device. If you have enabled device backup or iCloud, your data may be included in your own Apple backup under your control and Apple’s terms. We do not have access to it.

Information collected automatically

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, which pages or features are popular). Where used, this is limited to non-identifying, aggregated usage signals and does not include your temperature data. The Apple App Store may also provide us with aggregate, anonymized statistics about downloads and usage.

Purchases

Any purchases made in the App are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple’s handling of your purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

If you contact us

If you email us, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond. We use this only to handle your enquiry.

How we use information

• To provide and maintain the Service.
• To understand and improve performance and features, using aggregated signals only.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and purchases are handled by Apple. Your use of the App Store is subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy. The Site is hosted on a third-party hosting provider that may process standard technical request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and secure the website.

Data retention

Because your records are stored on your device, you control how long they are kept. You can edit or delete entries in the App at any time, and removing the App from your device deletes its locally stored data. Data you enter into website tools is cleared when you close or refresh the page.

Your choices and rights

• You can delete your records at any time within the App, or by removing the App.
• You can clear website tool data by refreshing or closing the page.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we do not collect identifying personal data or store your health records, in most cases there is nothing for us to retrieve — but you can contact us with any request.

Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults. While you may keep records on behalf of a child or family member, the Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because records are stored locally and not transmitted to us, we do not receive any such information.

International users

The Service may be used worldwide. Where the Site is delivered through global infrastructure, standard technical request data may be processed in the regions where our hosting provider operates.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
